Dr. D. Ramesh – Senior Consultant Urologist in Bangalore

Dr. D. Ramesh is the Senior Consultant and Head of the Department of Urology at Ramaiah Institute of Nephro-Uro Sciences, Bangalore. He has 30 years of experience in clinical and academic urology.

Dr. D. Ramesh completed his MBBS from Madras Medical College in 1984 and subsequently received his postgraduate training in urology. He began his professional career at Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, where he also worked as an Assistant Professor until 1994.

In April 1994, he joined Ramaiah Medical College, Bangalore, where he has served in various academic and clinical capacities. He currently heads the Department of Urology and is also associated with the Innovation Centre on the campus.

His areas of clinical expertise include endo-urology, robotic surgery and cadaveric renal transplantation. He has extensive experience in the management of complex urological conditions and advanced minimally invasive urological procedures.

Dr. D. Ramesh has actively participated in academic activities and has presented research papers at national and international forums. He has also contributed numerous publications to the field of urology.

He is a recipient of the Chakraborthy Travelling Fellowship from the Indian American Urology Association. He has also served as the Convener and Honorary Secretary of the Zonal Coordination Committee of Karnataka, an organ procurement agency for the state.

Dr. D. Ramesh is also a member of the advisory panel of the Government of Karnataka for organ transplantation, contributing his expertise to transplantation-related healthcare initiatives.
