Dr. Kedar Hibare is an experienced Clinical and Interventional Pulmonologist in Bangalore with more than 14 years of experience in respiratory medicine and advanced minimally invasive pulmonary procedures.

His clinical expertise includes advanced flexible and rigid bronchoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound, transbronchial cryobiopsy and image-guided bronchoscopic techniques used for the diagnosis of complex lung and airway conditions.

Dr. Kedar Hibare specialises in Endobronchial Ultrasound-guided Transbronchial Needle Aspiration (EBUS-TBNA), a minimally invasive procedure used to evaluate mediastinal lymph nodes and selected lung abnormalities.

His interventional pulmonology practice also includes radial EBUS and guided bronchoscopic biopsies, which help obtain tissue samples from selected peripheral lung lesions for accurate diagnosis.

Dr. Kedar Hibare is experienced in therapeutic airway procedures such as cryotherapy, argon plasma coagulation and laser therapy for selected airway tumours and obstructions.

He also performs balloon dilatation and airway stenting for selected patients with narrowing or obstruction of the central airways, with treatment aimed at improving airway patency and breathing.

His expertise extends to therapeutic thoracoscopy, pleuroscopy and indwelling pleural catheter placement for selected pleural diseases and recurrent fluid accumulation around the lungs.

Dr. Kedar Hibare has additional clinical interests in interstitial lung disease, pulmonary vascular diseases, thoracic oncology and emerging technologies such as 3D-printed airway prostheses and artificial intelligence in respiratory care.

He completed DNB training in Respiratory Diseases at St. John’s National Academy of Health Sciences, Bengaluru, followed by advanced fellowship training in Interventional Pulmonology and Thoracic Oncology at the West German Lung Center in Germany.

Dr. Kedar Hibare currently serves as Lead Consultant – Clinical & Interventional Pulmonologist at SPARSH Hospital, Hennur, Bangalore, and is actively involved in clinical education, research and advanced interventional pulmonology.
