Dr. Poovamma C U is the Lead and Head of Department of Breast Oncology & Oncoplasty at Aster CMI Hospital, Bengaluru. She is a distinguished breast oncology surgeon with more than 15 years of dedicated experience, with a special focus on advanced oncoplastic and aesthetic breast surgery.

Dr. Poovamma completed her MBBS from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, followed by MS in General Surgery from Shri BM Patil Medical College, Bijapur, under RGUHS. She also completed a Fellowship in Breast Diseases from RGUHS.

She has undertaken advanced international training at the Interdisciplinary Breast Centre in Germany and completed an International Fellowship in Oncoplastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Breast Surgery. Her expertise encompasses both cancer-focused and reconstructive breast procedures.
