Dr. Geetha L is a Professor in the Department of Anaesthesiology at Ramaiah Medical College, Bengaluru. She is also associated with Neuroanesthesia and Neurocritical Care and serves as the Chief of the Neuroanaesthesiology and Neurocritical Care Unit at Ramaiah Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Geetha completed her MBBS from M. S. Ramaiah Medical College in 2001 and her MD in Anaesthesiology from the same institution in 2007. She subsequently completed a Post-doctoral Fellowship in Neuroanesthesia in 2008.

She has special interest and advanced training in Neuroanesthesia and Neurocritical Care. She has been associated with the Ramaiah Institute of Neurosciences since its induction in 2012 and has been in-charge of the Neuroanesthesia and Neurocritical Care Unit since 2016.

Dr. Geetha has extensive experience in the anaesthetic management of patients undergoing complex neurological and neurosurgical procedures. Her clinical interests include neuroanesthesia, neurocritical care and perioperative management of patients with neurological conditions.

She has worked in teaching institutions since completing her MD and has significant academic and training experience. She has also served as the course director for the Post-doctoral Fellowship in Neuroanesthesia, accredited by the Indian Society of Neuroanesthesiology and Critical Care (ISNACC), since July 2021.

She is a life member of the Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists (ISA), Indian Society of Neuroanesthesiology and Critical Care (ISNACC) and Neurocritical Care Society of India (NCSI).

Dr. Geetha is actively involved in research and academic activities related to Neuroanesthesia and Neurocritical Care. She has contributed to national and international medical journal publications and has participated in research involving anaesthesia techniques, neurosurgical procedures and neurocritical care.
