Dr. Chandrashekar G.R. – Consultant Surgeon in Mysore

Dr. Chandrashekar G.R. is a consultant surgeon, healthcare entrepreneur and educationist with more than 30 years of experience in healthcare and medical education in Karnataka.

He completed his MBBS and MS in General Surgery and has developed extensive clinical expertise in laparoscopic, endoscopic and minimally invasive surgical procedures.

Dr. Chandrashekar G.R. underwent specialized laparoscopic training at the BEST Institute, Bangalore, in 2001. Since then, he has performed various endoscopic and laparoscopic surgeries and continued to develop his expertise in minimal access surgery.

He has also served as an Associate Professor of Surgery at JSS Medical College, Mysore, where he was actively involved in teaching, academic activities, scientific sessions and research presentations.

His clinical interests include general surgery, laparoscopic surgery, endoscopic surgery and minimal access surgery. His surgical practice focuses on appropriate evaluation and minimally invasive treatment where clinically suitable.

Dr. Chandrashekar G.R. is also the Founder and Chairman of Cauvery Heart & Multi-Speciality Hospital, established in 2009. He has played a significant role in developing healthcare and educational institutions in Karnataka.

He has presented papers at national and state-level surgical conferences and has chaired several scientific sessions. He has also held various governance and professional positions, including involvement with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.
