Dr. Sushruta Mysore Shankar is a Consultant in Breast and Surgical Oncology in Bengaluru with extensive experience in the surgical management of cancer, particularly breast and gynecological malignancies.

She completed her MBBS from Sri Siddhartha Medical College, Tumkur, followed by MS in General Surgery from Adichunchanagiri Institute of Medical Sciences, Bellur. She subsequently completed her MCh in Surgical Oncology from Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology, Bengaluru.

Dr. Sushruta has developed specialist expertise in breast, gynecological, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, musculoskeletal and head and neck cancer surgeries. She has also worked at KIMS Hospital, Bengaluru, where she gained additional clinical and teaching experience.

Her major area of interest is breast oncology and oncoplastic breast surgery. She performs breast conservation procedures, mastectomies, sentinel lymph node biopsies, axillary lymph node dissections and selected minimally invasive breast procedures.
