Dr. Shruthi Shivdas is a Consultant Gynecologic Oncologist and Robotic Surgeon in Bengaluru with 15+ years of medical experience. She specialises in the diagnosis and surgical management of cancers affecting the female reproductive system, including ovarian, cervical, endometrial, vulvar and vaginal cancers.

Dr. Shruthi completed her MBBS, DGO and MS in Obstetrics and Gynecology from Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram. She secured First Rank and a Gold Medal in her MS examinations. She subsequently completed her MCh in Gynecologic Oncology at Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology, Bengaluru, securing First Rank and a Gold Medal from RGUHS in 2022.

She has specialised training in gynecologic cancer surgery, minimally invasive surgery and robotic surgery. Her clinical expertise includes laparoscopic and open radical hysterectomy, cytoreductive surgery for advanced ovarian cancer and robot-assisted procedures using the da Vinci Xi system.

Dr. Shruthi has a particular clinical interest in ovarian cancer, cervical cancer, endometrial cancer, vulvar cancer and vaginal cancer. She also has an interest in fertility-sparing cancer treatment for appropriately selected younger women with early-stage disease.

Her areas of expertise also include colposcopy, hysteroscopy, endometrial biopsy, peritoneal surface oncology, intraperitoneal chemotherapy and management of recurrent gynecologic cancers. She provides individualised treatment planning based on the cancer type, stage, overall health and treatment goals of each patient.

Dr. Shruthi has held academic positions at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences and Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology, where she also served as an Assistant Professor. She has contributed to research and publications related to ovarian cancer and gynecologic oncology.
