Dr. Padmalatha S Kadamba – Senior Consultant Paediatric Surgeon in Bangalore

Dr. Padmalatha S Kadamba is a Senior Consultant and Head of the Department of Paediatric Surgery at Ramaiah Memorial Hospital, Bangalore. She has 25 years of experience in treating surgical conditions in children, from neonates through adolescents up to 18 years of age.

She completed her MBBS from M.S. Ramaiah Medical College, Bangalore, and underwent General Surgery training at Medical College, Bellary. She was awarded a Gold Medal in MS (General Surgery) in 1992.

Dr. Padmalatha completed her MCh in Paediatric Surgery at Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore, graduating in 1996. She subsequently worked in the Department of Paediatric Surgery at St. John's Hospital and Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Medical College.

She also worked at King Faisal Specialist Hospital, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from 2000 to 2005 before returning to her alma mater. Since joining Ramaiah Memorial Hospital in 2005, she has contributed significantly to the development of its Department of Paediatric Surgery and helped establish its MCh Paediatric Surgery training programme.

Her areas of expertise include Paediatric Surgery, Paediatric Urology, Neonatal Surgery, Hepatobiliary Surgery and Paediatric Oncology.

Dr. Padmalatha is an active member of the Indian Association of Paediatric Surgery and its Karnataka Chapter. She has participated in and conducted operative workshops, CMEs, webinars and postgraduate training programmes. She has also served as a postgraduate guide and examiner under Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in Paediatric Surgery.
