Dr. R. Ravi Naik is a highly skilled Cardiac Anaesthetist, with a rich background in both education and clinical experience. He began his medical journey with an MBBS from M.S. Ramaiah Medical College in Bengaluru, followed by a Diploma in Anaesthesiology (DA) from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. After gaining foundational experience, Dr. Naik pursued advanced training, completing a Post-Doctoral Certificate Course (PDCC) in Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia at Jawahar Nehru Medical College, Belgaum, which further solidified his expertise in managing complex cardiac surgeries.

Dr. Naik’s academic qualifications were complemented by a Master’s degree in Anaesthesiology (MD) from K.L.E. University of Health Sciences, Karnataka. He then received specialised training in paediatric and neonatal cardiac anaesthesia at Fortis Malar Hospital, Chennai, where he honed his skills in managing congenital heart diseases like TAPVC and Truncus Arteriosus, among others. This training enabled him to address both simple and complex cardiac cases across age groups.

Professionally, Dr. Naik has worked in various prestigious hospitals. His role as Chief Resident in Cardiac Anaesthesia at the Mohammed Bin Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa Cardiac Centre, Bahrain Defence Force Hospital, was pivotal in gaining experience with both paediatric and adult cardiac surgeries. He later served as a Consultant Cardiac Anaesthesiologist at M.S. Ramaiah Narayana Heart Centre and Sapthagiri Institute of Medical Sciences, where he contributed significantly to the development of heart transplantation programs. He most recently held the position of Senior Consultant in Cardiac Anaesthesia at Narayana Institute of Cardiac Sciences, Bangalore.

His extensive expertise is further demonstrated through his European Certification in Adult Transoesophageal Echocardiography and membership in various professional organisations.

His academic and professional work has been focused on enhancing the care of patients undergoing complex cardiac surgeries.
