He completed his DM in Neurology from the Institute of Neurology, Madras Medical College, and pursued a Fellowship in Epilepsy at the prestigious Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences & Technology (SCTIMST), Trivandrum, one of India’s leading centers for comprehensive epilepsy care.

He has extensive expertise in epilepsy management, stroke care, neurocritical care, movement disorders, and headache disorders. Dr. Balaji has played a key role in establishing comprehensive neurology services, including epilepsy surgery programs, video EEG monitoring units, and specialized neurology clinics. His clinical approach emphasizes accurate diagnosis, advanced treatment strategies, and compassionate, patient-centered care to improve neurological outcomes and quality of life.
